Court Upholds Transfer of Homosexual Teacher
From Wire Reports
A federal judge has ruled that Montgomery, Md.. school officials can transfer Joseph Acanfora III, an avowed homosexual, from teaching to administrative duties to avoid day-to-day contact with pupils.
U. S. District Judge Joseph Young of Baltimore wrote that the "danger" of Acanfora influencing his eighth-grade pupils toward homosexuality “is not illusory.”
Acanfora was not accused of discussing homosexuality with his pupils, but he admitted he was active in an organization of homosexuals at Pennsylvania State University, and has appeared on television defending his position.
